Yes. Outback offers a lockable plunge pool cover designed for child safety. It’s made from the same high-grade UV mesh as the winter and debris cover, and is anchored to the pool shell with lockable straps and buckles.

How Does the Lockable Cover Work?
The lockable cover sits over the top of the pool and is secured using straps with lockable buckles. To install, you drill a small hole on the high side of the corrugation and rivet the buckle directly to the pool wall. Once fitted, the cover can be locked in place to restrict unsupervised access to the pool.
This makes it a practical option for households with young children, rental properties, or anyone who wants an extra layer of protection when the pool isn’t in use.

Do I Still Need Pool Fencing?
A lockable cover adds an extra layer of protection, but it does not replace the requirement for pool safety barriers. In Australia, pool safety barriers must comply with AS1926.1-2012 and include a self-latching, self-closing gate. Check with your local council or certifier for the specific requirements in your area.
