Before coating, each aluminium panel (1) undergoes a chromate pretreatment process (2) that chemically prepares the surface and enhances its resistance to corrosion.
The powder is then applied (3) and baked under controlled conditions (4), creating a strong chemical bond with the pretreated aluminium (5). Rather than simply sitting on the surface like conventional wet paint, the coating becomes an integrated part of the finished panel.
The result is a tough, durable architectural, scratch resistant finish designed for long-term performance in demanding outdoor environments.

Pool barrier requirements vary throughout Australia. In some locations and installations, the corrugated profile of the Outback Plunge Pool may be considered climbable and therefore may not be accepted as part of the required safety barrier.

No. The cladding is designed for installations where part of the pool wall remains exposed above the surrounding landscape or deck. Pipework and fittings such as filtration connections, suction and return lines, light fittings and spa jets. These should be concealed below or within the surrounding landscaping or deck rather than behind the cladding system.

Yes. You can choose any shell colour and cladding combination to create the look you want. For example, a Night Sky shell behind Corten mesh creates a dramatic contrast, while complementary combinations—such as a Surf Mist shell with the Surf Mist mesh—provide a more seamless, understated finish.
FlexiClad™ is designed to be low maintenance. For general cleaning, simply hose the panels down with fresh water. For a more thorough clean, use warm soapy water and a soft-bristled broom or brush to remove dirt and build-up, then rinse with clean water.
The perforated option uses powder coated aluminium panels with a carefully designed 9mm perforation pattern, creating a lighter and more detailed appearance than a completely solid panel.
They’re particularly suited to contemporary homes and landscapes where the pool is intended to become an architectural feature rather than simply a functional water tank.
Our standard perforated panel finishes are Black, Off-White and Corten steel.
Black provides a strong contemporary finish, Off-White creates a softer and lighter appearance, while Corten introduces the warm, earthy character of weathered steel.
For an extra fee we can also colour match using many of the common COLORBOND® steel colours or even a completely custom colour.
Our Corten-style finish is a multi-speckled blend of warm brown and gold tones, created using a durable powder-coating process. It delivers the distinctive architectural look of weathered Corten steel and is designed to complement Corten garden edging, planters and other landscape features.
No. Unlike genuine Corten steel, the FlexiClad™ Corten-style finish does not rely on oxidation to create its appearance. It receives the same high-quality aluminium pretreatment and powder-coating process as our other finishes, giving you the distinctive Corten look without the rust staining associated with weathering steel.
No. Our proprietary mounting system has been designed to appropriately separate the cladding materials from the pool shell, helping to prevent direct interaction between dissimilar metals.

Start by selecting the size of your Outback Plunge Pool. From there, your landscape design will determine how many linear metres of cladding are required around the pool. Once this is established, you can select your preferred cladding type and order the required number of panels to suit your design.
The cladding system is designed for DIY installation, however it should be installed in accordance with our installation requirements and in collaboration with your installer to ensure panel positioning, fixing and barrier-critical dimensions are correctly achieved.
Where the cladding forms part of the pool safety barrier, the completed installation should be assessed as part of the overall pool barrier approval process.
FlexiClad™ panels are 980mm wide, with a maximum 10mm gap between panel once installed.
To work out how many panels you need, start with the circumference of your pool and determine how much of the pool will remain exposed. For example, if your deck covers half of the pool, you only need enough FlexiClad™ to cover the remaining half.
Tip: FlexiClad™ panels are supplied in full widths and are not available in half sizes. Where cladding meets a deck, simply start the first panel underneath the deck and continue around the exposed pool, allowing the final panel to finish underneath the deck on the opposite side. This gives you flexibility to achieve a clean, seamless finish.
Example: A 3.4m pool has a circumference of approximately 11.5m. If half the pool is exposed, you’ll need to cover approximately 5.75m — requiring 6 panels.
